Beirut Port Explosion Memorial
On August 4, 2020, Lebanon suffered one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in modern history. Hundreds were killed, thousands injured, and an entire city was shattered. Families lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and the sense of safety that every human being deserves.

Our commitment to justice
SOUL stands firmly with the families of the victims and survivors of the Beirut Port Blast. We support independent investigations, international accountability mechanisms, judicial transparency, and the protection of witnesses, judges, and investigators. Public advocacy for truth and responsibility is paramount because justice is not optional; it is the foundation of national healing.

SOUL works directly with families of the victims, survivors, and affected communities. SOUL raises the voice of August 4 in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Congress, international organizations, media platforms, and diaspora communities worldwide. We advocate for international pressure to unblock the investigation, protection of judicial independence, accountability for all responsible parties, and recognition of August 4 as a national and humanitarian catastrophe. Our advocacy is principled, transparent, and rooted in the belief that justice is a universal right.
Annual art galleries and competitions
Annual art galleries are held in Beirut, Byblos, and other regions, featuring works by Lebanese artists who transform grief into beauty, memory, and national resilience. Art competitions engage hundreds of young artists, students, and professionals each year, creating paintings, sculptures, and digital works that honor the victims and tell their stories. Our signature SOUL initiative, "Keep Their Memories Alive" Exhibitions, brings together families, artists, activists, and community members in a shared space of remembrance and solidarity.
